Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TaskoPH concerning your access to and use of our web platform and mobile applications.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, installing, or using the TaskoPH platform—which encompasses our website infrastructure, backend API services, and native iOS and Android mobile applications—you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these conditions, you must immediately cease usage of our digital products, close your account, and delete the mobile application from all of your devices.

2. Modifications to Terms

TaskoPH reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When modifications occur, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We may also notify you via email or through an in-app push notification on your mobile device. Your continued use of the platform and mobile application after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the newly revised Terms.

3. Platform Definition & Scope

TaskoPH operates exclusively as a digital marketplace and communications facilitator. We bridge the gap between Users seeking specific household or business services and verified independent Service Partners. TaskoPH is not a service provider, cleaning company, or repair agency. We do not directly employ Service Partners, nor do we assume liability for the direct execution, quality, or legality of their physical labor. All service contracts negotiated via our web platform or mobile app are strictly two-party agreements between the User and the individual Partner.

4. User Obligations & Conduct

When utilizing TaskoPH, you agree to the following obligations:

  • Account Accuracy: You must provide truthful, current, and verifiable information during the onboarding process. Falsifying your identity or geographic location is strictly prohibited.
  • Prohibited Conduct: You may not use the platform for unlawful activities, to harass or threaten Service Partners, or to solicit services outside the legal boundaries of the Philippines.
  • Platform Circumvention: Users and Partners are strictly prohibited from utilizing the TaskoPH chat or platform to coordinate services and payments off-platform to avoid service fees. Doing so will result in immediate account termination.

5. Mobile Application License & Usage

TaskoPH grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and use the mobile application strictly in accordance with these Terms.

  • Authorized Channels: You agree to download the mobile application exclusively from official distribution channels (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We are not responsible for malware or data breaches stemming from modified or side-loaded APKs.
  • Push Notifications: By installing our mobile application, you consent to receive programmatic push notifications regarding booking statuses, real-time chat messages, and promotional alerts. You may disable these inside your device OS settings.
  • Data and Network Charges: You are solely responsible for any data and network usage fees incurred while using the TaskoPH mobile application out in the field.

6. Service Partners & Independent Contractor Status

Service Partners operate as 100% independent contractors. Partners must adhere strictly to local municipal regulations, acquire necessary permits, and maintain valid operational credentials at all times.

Partners are solely responsible for acquiring the tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete a booked service. TaskoPH offers tiered operational subscriptions allowing Partners to list their businesses on our mobile and web directories. Failure to remit scheduled subscription payments will result in the temporary suspension of directory visibility.

7. Bookings, Payments, and Cancellations

All financial transactions executed through the TaskoPH web interface or mobile application are securely processed by our third-party partner, PayMongo. Users agree to PayMongo's third-party processing terms.

  • Payments: By confirming a booking, you authorize TaskoPH to charge your provided payment method (Credit/Debit Card, GCash, Maya) via PayMongo. TaskoPH does not store your raw financial data.
  • Refunds and Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time may be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within constraints or no-shows may incur cancellation penalties to compensate the Service Partner.
  • Disputes: If a service is deemed unsatisfactory, the User must file a dispute within the TaskoPH mobile app or dashboard within 48 hours of completion to initiate mediation.

8. Intellectual Property

All logos, digital assets, source code, UI/UX designs, and content provided through the web platform and mobile application are the exclusive intellectual property of TaskoPH. You may not reverse-engineer the mobile application or scrape our web directory for commercial repurposing.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

THE PLATFORM AND MOBILE APPLICATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TaskoPH does not guarantee that the application will be error-free or completely secure. In no event shall TaskoPH be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from property damage or personal injury resulting from a Service Partner's actions, or data loss occurring on your mobile device.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Manila, Philippines.
