1. Introduction & Security Commitment

At TaskoPH, we recognize that trust is the foundation of our local marketplace. We pledge to collect only the data necessary to provide a safe, efficient service, and we construct our infrastructure with data protection by design. This policy applies uniformly to all Users and Service Partners interacting with the TaskoPH Web Dashboard and the native iOS/Android mobile applications.

2. Information We Collect

We purposefully limit the collection of your data to metrics required to deliver our service effectively. We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account Details: Your full name, email address, encrypted password, primary phone number, and physical service addresses (home, office, etc.).
  • Device & Usage Data: When utilizing the TaskoPH mobile application, we automatically collect device identifiers (IMEI/UUID), operating system version, app crash logs, IP addresses, and generalized screen interaction metrics. This helps us optimize performance and patch UI bugs.
  • Location Information: With your explicit OS-level permission on the mobile application, we access your device's exact GPS hardware constraints. This allows us to instantly filter Service Partners who are actively operating within your immediate geographic vicinity and provide route tracking.
  • Media and Communications: Profile photos, verification documents (IDs, licenses), and any images or text transmitted securely through our in-app real-time chat interface.

3. How We Utilize Your Data

We do not collect data idly; your information operates the core mechanics of our platform. We use it to:

  • Algorithmically match you with local professionals near your provided address or your mobile device's live location mapping.
  • Dispatch critical transactional updates, booking confirmations, and chat alerts via email or native mobile push notifications.
  • Identify fraudulent activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and verify the legitimate identity of Service Partners.
  • Process payments securely, invoice bookings, and manage recurring Partner subscriptions through PayMongo.

4. Information Sharing & Third Parties

TaskoPH never sells your personal information to data brokers or advertising agencies. We only share your data under strictly defined, necessary circumstances:

  • Service Fulfillment: Upon confirming a booking, your specific address and contact number are securely disclosed to your chosen Service Partner so they can navigate to your location and fulfill the physical appointment.
  • Payment Ecosystem (PayMongo): Billing details, card tokenization, and transaction histories are transmitted via compliant encrypted channels directly to our payment processor, PayMongo. We do not store your raw credit card numbers.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by local law enforcement, a subpoena, or to protect the safety of a User or Partner.

5. Mobile Application Specifics

Using the native TaskoPH mobile app introduces unique data environments:

  • Background Location: TaskoPH does not track a User's location in the background if the app is closed. However, active Service Partners may be required to enable background location tracking while "On Duty" to accurately display their availability radius to Users.
  • Local Storage: Authentication tokens and minimal session data are stored securely within your device's keychain/local storage to keep you logged in.
  • Camera/Gallery Access: The app requires media permissions solely for uploading profile pictures, verification documents, or sharing problem references in the chat interface.

6. Data Security & Retention

We deploy modern encryption protocols (TLS 1.3) to safeguard data in transit between the mobile app, web dashboard, and our servers. User passwords are irreversibly hashed using bcrypt. We retain your data only for as long as your account is active. If an account is deleted, we retain minimal historical transaction data strictly for tax and fraud prevention compliance.

7. Your Data Rights

As a user, you maintain complete control over your identity. You reserve the right to:

  • Request a full JSON/CSV exportation of your data profile.
  • Correct inaccuracies in your address or contact information directly through the mobile app.
  • Revoke GPS access at any time through your mobile device's settings menu (this may break localized search).
  • Request immediate account anonymization and permanent deletion through the "Danger Zone" in your account settings.
